The fields of heat transfer and air-conditioning are so wide and diversified that anorderly ,,presentation of scientific facts are essential for effective teaching of thesesubjects. In our teaching we should place emphasis not only to transmission of theknowledge. but also to laying of a strong foundation on which further knowledge canreadily be accumulated and the acquired knowledge can be fully utilized for usefulpurposes.This book although based on my study of many crosses of heat transfer and thermalengineering and air conditioning and by providing a large number of fully workedout illustrative examples a large number of problems at the end of each chaptersummary tables for ready reference
